March 20th marks the first day of spring š· and the celebration of the International Day of Happiness! š
And let me tell you, friends, March 20th is truly a day of pure JOY š for me and holds an incredibly special place in my heartāitās the day I became a mom. š¶š
I can hardly believe that my sweet, precious baby boy is turning 18 this yearāwhere does the time go? ā³š
Transitions and transformations can be unsettling, as the uncertainty of the unknown stirs doubt in our ability to adapt and embrace change. šš
HOWEVER, transitions are woven into the very fabric of lifeāright from the very beginning! š I mean, hello, theyāre literally part of our birth story. š¶āØ AND from that moment on, they just keep coming, shaping us through every stage of growth and development until weāre once again preparing and ready for the next transition and transformation. š±ā”ļøšæ
BUT ⦠what if weāre not?! šØ
What happens if we're not quite ready to transform? What if hesitation, fear, indifference, or uncertainty holds us back? š¤ Where does that leave us? Do we become stuckāfrozen in placeāwhile the world continues to evolve without us? āļøšš
ABSOLUTELY NOT! šš„
Just as winter gives way to spring, the once-barren landscape awakens with vibrant blooms šŗ, lush greenery š³, and bursts of color šØ. Branches stretch eagerly toward the sky āļø, while roots anchor deeper into the fertile earth š, embracing the seasonās renewal. šæš¼
This transition brings about new life š£, brighter days āļø, and an invigorating sense of hope and optimism. š«āØ
Undoubtedly, spring showers will come š§ļø, bringing howling winds š¬ļø and roaring thunderā” that shake us to our core.
Lightning may strike, leaving behind scorched earth and trails of ash.ā”š„ Yet, in a poetic twist of nature, fresh blades of grass will emerge š±, pushing through the charred remnants. The very ash that marks destruction enriches the soil, providing vital nutrients for resilient pioneer species to take root and flourish. šæš¾
As the storms roll on, quenching the earth with much-needed hydration š¦, they leave behind a breathtaking giftāa radiant arc of color stretching across the sky. š This mesmerizing spectacle, born from the refraction, internal reflection, and dispersion of light in lingering water droplets, serves as a bold reminder of natureās artistry and revitalization. šØš¦ļø
FRIENDS, we are the pioneersāresilient and strong šŖ, forging ahead through times of transition and growth, even when the path feels uncertain and daunting. š¶āāļøš¶āāļøš
As long as there is breath in me, I will NEVER forget the day we left the hospital with our brand-new springtime baby. šøš¶ My heart pounded with fear and doubt, a storm of āwhat ifsā thundering through my mind. ā”āļø I remember Rich and I nervously joking that it felt like we were stealing himāhow could any of these seasoned professionals possibly believe we were ready to care for him without their constant presence, knowledge, and support? š„š³
And yet, we stepped through those doors into the unknown, into the stormāand soon found ourselves dancing in the rain. šš§ļøšŗ
With each storm came rainbows š, and over time, we grew more resilient in the face of the seasons' unpredictability. We learned to embrace the ebb and flow of regrowth after each stormās disruption, trusting in natureās rhythm. š¶š As we nurtured our little springling, š± we showered him with love and light šāØ, encouraging his branches to stretch wide while his roots grew ever deeper. š³
We celebrated his colors whether the leaves were blooming and bright šæš» or yellowing for the fall š. In doing so, we nurtured his strength, allowing him to grow confidently in his own way, never changing his colors for anyone. šØš
The scars left by lightning strikes served as lasting reminders, teaching us gratitude š for the hard lessons learned and instilling within us a deep sense of hope for renewal and regrowth. ššæ
Iād be lying if I said this next transition isnāt just as intimidating as walking out of those hospital doors 18 years ago. š Soon, heāll graduate š, and once again, a new season will begin as we step boldly into the great unknown. šš However, as we spring forward into our next adventure, I am now more confident in our ability to weather the storms and look for the rainbows. š¦ļøš
SO, in a nutshell ā¦
š± Embrace the seasons of change, trusting in your ability to navigate transitions and weather life's storms. š§ļø
šø As the clouds part, itās in those moments that we grow and transform, carrying with us the seeds of love, patience, resilience, adaptability, and renewal. ššæ
š„ We were born to bloom, even from the ashes, and will continue to thrive and grow, no matter how uncertain the storm may be. š¾
š Seek the rainbow, and find happiness alwaysāeven if it means dancing in the rain. šāØ
