Friends… I’ve missed our time together!!!
Has anyone else been living in a season of curveballs? ⚾️ Because let me tell you, Hosay has been bobbing and weaving.
I thought 2025 was going to be an endurance test. After sharing my September blog called “Submitting to Delay”, I assumed the winding road would eventually straighten out.
It did not.
(And honestly… isn’t that just life?)
Before the plot twists really escalated, I squeezed in a girls’ trip that now feels divinely timed. We wandered through San Francisco, soaked in the majesty of Big Sur, and lingered in Carmel. A bucket-list moment unfolded with a bonfire on the beach under a full moon, while inhaling the salty air, feeling the sand between our toes, and laughter echoing into the dark. 🌊🌕🌃😂
It was one of those experiences you tuck into your soul for safekeeping. 💌
And then… while waiting to board our flight home… my phone rang. ✈️
My son needed surgery.
Sucker punch doesn’t quite capture it. 🤦♀️
Before I could even process that, our flight became the setting for a midair medical emergency. With three incredible nurses by my side, we performed CPR at 30,000 feet. We got her back, diverted to Nevada, and she was awake when transported off the plane.
Heroic? Maybe.
Exhausting? A B S O L U T E L Y! 😫
I’m fairly certain that day aged me five years. ⌛️
Once home, it was full immersion into mom-mode. Appointments. Surgical planning. Recovery timelines. Rehabilitation schedules. All layered on top of freshman-year college adjustments. The silver lining? A medical redshirt year has allowed him to recalibrate and rebuild well. He is thriving. Healing. On track for a full recovery, and for that, I am deeply grateful.
Just as fall faded into the holidays, the new year brought another shift.
The office I’ve poured nearly ten years into. The place where I’ve spent late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays is closing. I’m relocating within the same company, but still… it feels like leaving home… Like closing a chapter that held so much of who I’ve been. 🚪
And then January asked even more of us.
We said goodbye to our sweet Grace 🥲. Our 21-year-old cat. Our steady companion from the earliest days of our marriage through every adult decision and milestone. She was a quiet cornerstone of the Hosay House. Her absence is tender. 💔
When the hits keep coming, I won’t lie-sometimes I want to cop out. Pull the covers over my head. Postpone reality until tomorrow.
But here’s the thing about copouts…
The hard stuff waits.
And so we tuck.We duck.We roll. We get back up.
It’s not about how hard we fall-or even how many times. It’s about rising again… every single time.
Each fall teaches. Each bruise informs. Each detour strengthens. We collect resilience the way trees collect rings - quietly, season by season. 💪
And that brings me to March.
💮 Spring never begs for attention. It simply arrives - steady and faithful.💮
The warmth returns. Bare branches bud. Light lingers a little longer each evening. 🌅
Even when it feels like everything has been stripped back… life is still preparing to bloom.
Here’s to new beginnings at every stage.
New lessons.
New armor.
New skills to meet whatever curveball comes next.
And if you’re in a season of bobbing and weaving too - 🤗 I SEE YOU. Keep getting up! 🤗
So in a nutshell… curveballs are inevitable, copouts are tempting, but resilience isn’t built in the easy seasons. It’s forged in the moments when life asks more of us than we ever expected to give - and the moments we choose to stand back up.
We bend.We breathe.We begin again.
And we RISE STRONGER. 💪
Again, if you’re in a season of bobbing and weaving too - I SEE YOU. Keep rising! 💕
Because real health is never one-dimensional. It touches the physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and social parts of our lives. Our mindset, our environment, our relationships, and our sense of purpose all shape how we move through challenge and how we rebuild when life knocks us off course.
That whole-person perspective is exactly what Hosay Healthverse is built around.
And if you’re looking for a place to land while you do the work of rising again…a space that honors both science and soul, structure and flexibility, medicine and meaning—
that’s why Hosay Healthverse exists, and we’re so glad you’re here. 🤗
